Hey y’all I’m still fairly young in this business with only being on my own for about 4yrs. My clientel is stable enough, and I can’t complain about my weekly pay checks.
So my question is how have you more experienced farrier delt with losing a horse due to constant loss of shoes or client not happy with your work?
I do my best and understand I can’t keep everyone happy but it get under my skin when I lose a horse due to client unhappy with work.
Maybe I need to develop thicker skin.

1. Super clean, presentation is important.
2. I tidy up every now and then.
3. I found a pair of nippers under a pile of grindings.

So one of my team roping clients tells me this story today
He is at a roping, His vet is also competing, my client say something along the lines of this
“hey doc I’ll be bringing in my roan horse soon, he has someting going on with his skin, it’s dry and flaky, I was thinking ringworm but we treated it and no success. Any ideas?”
Vet says, it may be………. Or ……… Any diet change, any new horses on the place?
Guess what my client finds in his mailbox 3 days later, a BILL from the vet:confused: this is before he ever had time to bring the horse in.
