Farrier baffled by long term crack
The crack in the black hoof,rt front, has been on going for about 4 years. It has been superficial and was a very fine line but has widened. Although it looks like there is a coronary band injury there now , there was none when this started. We waited for it to gradually grow out but it hasn’t . It appears that the other front foot is starting to crack also.
My farrier was all for me posting these pictures ..any input or advice would be appreciated.
Could it be the balance of the hoof? Angles? Living conditions..horse is out 24/7 the past two years with access to barn for run in.
