Welding old horseshoes together

Hi all,
Can anyone direct me to the thread a few months back about welding shoes together as a learning exercise? They called it a horseshoe sandwich at shcool, but i recall that Smitty had a fancy name for it that i’ve now forgotten. I was just asked for an explanation of how to do it in an email and though i might just direct him here but can’t find it. Could be good to dredge it up again for any newbies who haven’t got enough blisters yet.:D

Using white lightening

hey guys,
Can someone tell me how much white lightening I need use one a foot? It says a ratio of 1:1 with white vinegar on the label, but not how much is enough to use. :rolleyes: I was thinking about a cap full? I bought a bottle back from the US and we can’t get it here so I don’t want to waste it. I’m very keen to see how it goes.

Also, can you suggest any ideas on good bags to use? I went to the local hospital yesterday for IV bags and they said they might have one next week?!! Which is great, because I have 3 minnie donkeys with advanced white line disease all round, so I should have enough bags by Christmas time to treat them! Lol. I can try other hospitals out of the area, but would be happy to buy some if only I knew where to look.

Using phone in America

Hi all, can I get some suggestions for what to do about getting a SIM or some kind of pre-paid phone plan for the 2 months I’m in the US? I have an iPhone and iPad so data and calls would be good although I won’t need much. I was hoping to buy something over the Internet so it was ready when I got there, but not sure what To be looking for and I’m not that up with the technology. please help
