WLD has to be debrided?
I have a 10 yr old qtr horse. It is turned out out about 24 /7. Has been barefoot for the last year. Owner said it used to have shoes. I have trimmed it twice over the winter. It had a small pockect of white line in the right front, was able to use a nail to clean out the 1/4 inch depth by 3/4 inch in length pocket. Then use thrush buster and hoof packing to fill the small pocket. Told the owner about it left the stuff to clean it out and repack it weekly. Long story short came back 8 rainy weeks later and the void is almost the depth of a nail and inch long. Size O foot
After a lengthy clean out, filled the void with thrushbuster let rest in the void for a minute or two, drained, then filled the void with Vettec CS and shod the horse. I was able to use the toe nail and the heel nail plus one that I drilled.
We had nothing there to soak the foot at that time. My question has anyone had any wld cases that were corrected without debriding the hoof wall?
