I have been asking for examples of corrected underrun heels for several years, but nobody has provided photographic evidence of correcting the issue.
I did come close to “fixing” the issue on this horse, so I thought I would share the picture. Notice the toe angle is constant through the entire length of the hoof, yet the horn tubules in the quarters change direction about half way down the hoof. The pigment change helps to make the change in heel growth direction more obvious. The heel growth remains unchanged, so the underrun heels are still present.

I meant to put a question mark in the thread title, reading “corrected underrun heels?”
