Coronet band injury from interference w/ winter studs

So, my horse got his winter packages on last week. The very first thing he proceeded to do the next day was go out in the pasture, tear it up and gouge a gigantic (well, maybe not “gigantic”, but pretty good) sized chunk of his coronet band and hoof.
